collaborate with Benny Yang
333 species are positioned along a computationally derived spectrum from beloved to reviled. Across adjacent displays, each flock appears only as abstract, monochrome particles governed by similar underlying behaviors, stripped of the visual cues that tell us what they are. A polarizing panel reveals a second layer: the same movements take on recognizable forms. What appeared neutral moments before can suddenly feel beautiful, unsettling, or threatening.
